Education & Experience
I began oil painting as an adult and it has become my favorite medium. I like to paint in oils because they have intense colors and layer well on canvas. Oils can be flexible to an extent since the artist can repaint and move objects within the composition. This flexibility allows me to experiment with composition, perspective, and subject matter. My developing style has been described as both whimsical and bold. I paint still life, floral, landscape, and house or barn portraits. I have started a series of interior spaces and hope to continue developing my painting style.
